Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the JobScope IQ platform ("Service") operated by JobScope IQ ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed electrical contractor or tradesperson (or act on behalf of one) to use JobScope IQ. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate.

2. Beta access

The Service is currently in beta. Beta access is granted by invitation only via an access code. During the beta period:

• The Service is provided free of charge or at a discounted rate
• Features may change, be added or removed without notice
• We reserve the right to revoke beta access at any time
• AI takeoff usage is limited to 50 per calendar month per account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Australian law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
• Share your account credentials or access code with others
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limits
• Upload illegal, harmful or offensive content
• Use the Service to generate quotes for work you are not licensed to perform

4. AI outputs and professional responsibility

JobScope IQ uses artificial intelligence to analyse electrical plans and generate quantity takeoffs. AI outputs are estimates only. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated takeoffs may contain errors, omissions or incorrect quantities
• All AI outputs must be reviewed and verified by a licensed electrician before use
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any quote presented to a client
• JobScope IQ accepts no liability for losses arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs
• Quotes generated by the platform must comply with all applicable Australian and New Zealand electrical standards and regulations

5. Intellectual property

The JobScope IQ platform, including its design, code, AI prompts and features, is owned by us and protected by Australian intellectual property law. You retain full ownership of your data — job records, quotes, client information and plan images. We claim no ownership over your data.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, JobScope IQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage
• Loss of revenue, profit or business resulting from errors in AI-generated outputs
• Service interruptions, data loss, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or for operational reasons with reasonable notice.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice with at least 14 days notice before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
